Frequently asked questions
Costs
How much does it cost?
Costs are confirmed at training. Drop us a message before you come along if you'd like to know in advance.
Health & accessibility
I have a heart condition / dodgy knee / [other concern].
A lot of our members do. The rules are designed for exactly this. If you're ever unsure, talk to your GP first, and tell us when you arrive so we can keep an eye out.
Logistics
Do I need to bring anything?
Trainers (no studs, we play indoor) and something comfortable to play in. We provide bibs and balls. A water bottle is a good idea.
New players
Do I need to have played football before?
No. Around half of our members hadn't kicked a ball in 20+ years when they joined. A few had never played at all. The pace and the no-tackling rule make it accessible for genuine beginners.
I'm worried I'm not fit enough.
That's the most common thing we hear, and it's why most people come. The "no running" rule means the pace is determined by the rules, not by you. We have members in their 70s who hadn't exercised in years. They manage fine, and they get fitter as they go.
Can I bring a friend / spouse / neighbour?
Yes, please do. The club grew, and continues to grow, almost entirely through word of mouth.
